Recently I invented a new type of mute made of tissue and used in combination with a metal
straight mute (I use a Denis Wick straught mute). The rag mute softens the sound of the metalics mute and makes them more
"muffled". The mute has also a stripe which when attached to the right hand small finger of the player makes easier and faster
the removal of the mute. The mute was initally invented to permorm the 2nd mvt of the A. Jolivet Concertino for trumpet, strings
